The BAKERCAST is dropping 4/20/2019 on an aural channel near you. This new cannabis podcast is brought to you by Jerome Baker Designs (JBD) - once one of the largest glass-pipe manufacturers on the left coast. As a long time player in the space, the JBD team has the ambition and expertise to take on the cannabis world and they’re letting us join along for the ride through this new series.
Starting this week, JeromeBaker.com is releasing the BAKERCAST in conjunction with Underground Experiments. The BAKERCAST anchor teams up with JeromeBaker.com and follows the team on their journey to cannabis trade shows in green rush cities to get a taste of the cannabis industry.
From the glass blowing floor where heady glass is created and refined to the trade floor show where companies compete for business and shelf space at smoke shops and dispensaries around the world, the BAKERCAST goes where you want to be and ask the questions that you want to ask… Like what’s it like to make the biggest bong in the world?
The first season of the series interviews industry giants from all ends of the spectrum - from growers to glass blowers, to accessory makers, to product promoters and social media influencers, and even the legendary Jason Harris - founder of Jerome Baker Designs. The BAKERCAST brings you curated content from the floors of the Dream Factory, CHAMPS Trade Show, and the Las Vegas Cannabis Awards Show - where JBD receives a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the cannabis industry.
Jerome Baker Designs was started by Jason Harris and has grown to become one of America’s leading glass companies. Harris was an apprentice of Eugene, Oregon glass blowing legend Rob Snodgrass, and is the go-to artist for celebrities looking for custom blown glasswork.
Based in Las Vegas, JBD has grown to over 70 employees over the last decades despite the government’s best efforts to stymie growth. JBD was the recipient of the High Times Cannabis Cup Glass Award in 1998, 2002, and 2018 and the well deserved lifetime achievement award - Now, the BAKERCAST will channel that expertise into a shareable experience for the cannabis enthusiast.
As Harris himself says:
“It’s really cool to get down there and just stay current with the scene. It’s just like going to school - you learn something every day when you’re out there on the field or on the streets”
Check out the BAKERCAST for the expert answers to the high questions you never knew you had. There are interviews with Instagram’s master dabbers such as @dabb_matt and @420_jackey.
Why is it that wax heads still prefer to have the flower on deck? Which brands are hot, which dispensaries are hot. Some influencers even try to predict the next big strain. Is it peanut butter breath? Others drop knowledge on what is the best temperature to vape flower at. A question that comes up a lot is: How long will it take for cannabis to be federally legal? How do regulations affect real medicinal marijuana patients and recreational users in practice?
The host also bends the ear of cannabis company owners from different states - both plant touching and ancillary. The innovation in the cannabis industry is always inspiring - from adjustable joint rolling machines that allow for handicapped patients to roll joints of any size to the continuing evolution of glass blowing. The BAKERCAST team thinks that cannabis in 2019 has a bright, lit future. You’ll have to listen to Season 1 to hear the rest.
You can catch the BAKERCAST at JeromeBaker.com. (see below) BAKERCAST audio can also be caught on undergroundexperiments.co and broadcasted at Purple Haze Radio on the Dash Radio App.
